Who is meritorious?

One person with help of reservation gets admission in an institute, being the first member of his entire past generations, town and nearby town ,relatives who got this opportunity .After getting admission he saw there his unreserved batch mats are more knowledgeable than him he works hard, acquires more knowledge but secures less marks/merit/rank/percentile than others.

When tries to find out reason he came to know, what knowledge he acquired there other unreserved people already have, from highly educated family, good schools , they have better method of learning , better facilities got from family or from schools., no social discrimination and they have no worry about anything like money.

Then who is, meritorious one who has no facility, no educated background, making his way himself, giving more output from negligible input.

Or those who have everything educated generations, money ,social security, giving more output from more input.

Let say there are 2 people A, B in a race. B is behind the A in race because of lack of training, good diet, sports accessories etc. The completion is not fare.

Now considering that B is getting support from promoters in terms of training, diet, shoes and all what is required to be a good runner.

Even after that if B loses then he should accept that A is good runner and let him get the reward because now it’s not about facility or environment but it is about individual’s capability.

To win the race B has to work hard and show willingness and he will have to put extra effort.

Coming to reservation point those who belong to poor family or backsword background they get good enough scholarships at schooling level. Free books and lots of other facility. Even after that if they want reservation in competitive exam. Then they want reservation in higher studies and then in jobs...

Is it fare? They should show their willpower and should work hard to take benefit of facilities provided to them and should become eligible first.

Can you believe people are getting entry into medical collage at 40-45% marks in competitive exams If those doctors or engineers will make mistakes while handling their responsibility then should we consider their background first before taking decision against them?
