Have you ever counted how many times in a day we are happy and what our mental condition is during that time on the other hand when we are unhappy what our mental condition is at that time. it needs careful observation of mental state during the two times . You are unhappy because most of the time during that situation you are thinking about past and you are not able to forgive the person who has hurt you or you are not able to forgive you for the mistake done by you ".
So to remain happy always one must have forgiveness for self and others. but most of the cases it is very difficult for us forgive although we know forgiveness is best characteristic ,one should have it , still when event is pertaining to us we are not able to do so .
I have found some tips sharing as below:
Do not bring up the situation to yourself.
Do not bring up the situation to the offender.
Treat the offender as if it never happened.
Do not talk about the situation to others.
If the situation is the type that could result in harm to others, you must take the necessary steps to prevent harm; e.g., notifying authorities in the case of vulnerable persons (children) or populations (patients, elderly clients in nursing homes, etc.
