That depends on what powerful means to you. If power is been able to buy things and having people doing things for you, then is money. For me, knowledge is much more powerful. It's something that you can't lose, and it provides you the possibility to do stuffs by yourself. And it's for free! Money is really necessary for someone to learn things and have some knowledge??

Knowledge is far more powerful than money. Because if you have knowledge you can earn money and lots of it in some case. But you cannot buy knowledge. you have to strive for it and learn it.

Knowledge can also lead to wisdom, money cannot.

Money makes you insecure as you struggle to protect your money/assets. On the other you can never be afraid if you are knowledgeable, as you know no one can steal what you know from you.

If you share your wealth your net worth decreases, if you share your knowledge your knowledge increases.

Hence, knowledge is more potent.

Without Knowledge excess of money is useless as it will deplete in no time only a knowledgeable person will know how to not only manage it but also increase it.

I think money blended with the knowledge to properly use it is the best thing one can look for. This will also fetch you power. I think its ultimately knowledge that can get you money.
