Life is full of ups and downs. There are some views on how to deal with negative thoughts during the downs to remain focused and positive.
Try to find out the achievements in the event which made you sad, definitely if you lost something some achievement must b there focus on that and negative thoughts will start vanishing. or right down whatever you feel and at the end of writing read reread and again read it, then try to answer all questions in your writing, mind start getting change. Negative Energy comes from our own thinking habits, Form the people we spend the time with, company etc. That positive & Negative Energy comes from where you Aim our Mind. May be you can experiment with affirmations, mean, Every time, If you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, change it into a positive one. If you catch yourself, visualizing failure, switch it to visualizing success. If you hear yourself, repeating negative words, switch to positive ones. Always keep open your mind to positive attitude , happenings, events expect them think positive about them soon your life will change to the better. Decide from this every moment, you are leaving negative thoughts behind and starting on the way towards positive thinking for the wonderful life journey.
There is a very small gap between thinking practical and having negative attitude. If you think that "am shattered if I don’t succeed in this and I am sure I will not succeed" then this is negative attitude. but on the other hand if you think "I will succeed in this for sure and by any chance if am not able to, then maybe it was not meant to be" this is practicality.
I will tell you my method of taking out negative thought from my life.
There is a story of an "astu devta" a fairy who says "tathaastu" every day (anytime of the day) to whatever we think. so it is believed that in one full day whatever we think, out of that, one thought (when that fairy said "tathaastu") comes true.
So this encouraged me to think only good thoughts. And never after have I thought that "if I don’t get"

Knowledge and acceptance of Self: know your strong and weak points. Strengthen your positives and water down and later eliminate your weaknesses. When we aspire for things which are not possible for us, we are plagued by negative thoughts.
Development of Self: Know that there is unlimited potential in you. Scientific studies show that only 3% of brain potential is used by average man. So work on discovering your potential. Try new things. Let your thinking widen. Read books by great people. You will be inspired to move upwards and onwards. When there is progress in self, negative thoughts vanish.
Feed Positive Thoughts: A thought in itself does not damage us. When a single thought is repeated several times it gets linked with ego and causes stress and negative reactions: e.g. this is black t shirt - this is black t shirt oh I love black t shirt. I am going to buy a new one!. If you can’t fulfill your desire at once you have stress. Even if you fulfill stress comes with overstuffed wardrobe and clothes you don’t need. When a thought starts repeating in your mind and you can see the pattern of destruction in it - consciously replace it with a positive thought and repeat it. Then you feed energy to the positive thought and strengthen it.
Comparison : Don’t compare your
progress with another person. Instead be inspired by others progress. This will add momentum to your growth. Be your own benchmark and chart your own growth against yourself.
GOOD BOOKS and GOOD COMPANY: It is not possible to always have company of good friends. They have their own busy lives. Daily read a few pages from good inspirational books to over come your negativity and inspire you to positive thinking
MEDITATION AND FAITH IN GOD: Regular meditation helps in transforming character and helps in mind control. Faith in God that all that happens is His grace and He cares for you is of immense help and source of comfort.
Negative thought is bed energy and lead to any disorder in body.
Positive thought is good energy ,can corrected the disorder.
Thus with simple thought, can do wonder or can create a disaster too.
Thus try to be more positive attitude.
Making practiced and take all fruitful help of above learned doctors, day by day developed a tremendous resources of positive energy to remove your negativism.
Negative thoughts are fearers in our back of mind. Fears can be overcome only after plunging into it or throwing ourselves into it. Success is only after fears.
