“Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome” is known as AIDS. It is said to be the latest dreaded malady of the present century. For the first time it was found in a male adult in California in 1981. It took into its grip by 13lakh people by 1993. About twenty million people have died due to AIDS from 1981 to December, 2003 and 34-46 million people were suffering from HIV virus/AIDS. The most number of patients of this disease are in Africa and one-fifth of patients belong to Asia. Fifty percent of AID victims are female. The people of age group 15-49 years are largest sufferer of H.I.V virus. The main causes of AIDS are unsafe sexual contact and drug education habits. Indians are also the victims of AIDS. The patients of this disease are found in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Manipur. The medical science claims that AIDS is not a disease at all though it is a fatal. It was generated in South African monkeys. AIDS is caused through blood, unsafe sexual contact and homosexual contact. A baby born to a mother with HIV positive will also have AIDS. In the host T-3 virus attacks the white blood corpuscles which are solely responsible for developing immunity. This deadly virus multiplies at a very fast rate. The whole physical structure gets seriously affected. The patient dies by every inch of his life. The memory level of patients gets reduced to zero. The recognition power of the patients is totally smashed. Moreover, speech organs lose their motion and control.
AIDS has become the name of death. Future generation is badly affected by it. The number of orphans is increasing not only in India but throughout the world because of AIDS. Further, it is leading to rape cases of girls. The doctors think that the possibility of AIDS is more when a person makes sexual relations with the minor girl. To satisfy their sexual wish, people make the young girls their prey. The lack of knowledge is increasing the HIV-positive. People must ensure it clearly that AIDS does not spread by spread by touching a person having AIDS. Homosexual relations and unsafe sexual relations should be avoided completely. We should keep ourselves busy with our studies. It is only one who can keep away oneself from this sin by cultivating these habits and following the rule of Bramhacharya.
