Summer is too hot season but it is really enjoyable season. We must take few precautions to have its enjoyment.
Water:
In summer water in your body will go out in sweat form. With sweat the things like sodium, potation, chloride etc will go out. The loss of these leads to dehydration. Mouth gets dry, less urination, eyes gets tired and heart beat increases. To avoid all these problems we should need to have sufficient water daily. Actually when we feel thirsty, that means our body needs huge amount of water. So you may be thirsty or not but you have to drink 8 to 10 glass of water every day which is good for health in summer. If urine will be in yellow in color that means you need to have more water.
Food:
Having light food is good for health in summer. Taking soup as breakfast is good and easy digestion in summer season. Having soup which is made of corn powder, wheat powder, rice cooked water by mixing salt or sugar, butter milk and milk are good for better health in summer. All this reduce the heat in our body and makes our body cool & fresh. The food items cooked on steam like idly and dosa which contain less oil are also good to have as breakfast in summers as they digest easily. These food items contain less oil and more moisture. So that they won’t increase out thirsty. Having curd rice mixed with salt or sugar, a cup of fruit pieces with the breakfast is need for better health condition in summer season. Having boiled rice, boiled vegetables are best as lunch. You can mix sambar, rasam, onion, uncooked gravy and liquids like this are much healthy. Drinking butter milk and having butter milk rice is best for our health in summer. Having vegetables which contain more water, the vegetables like cucumber, rich gourd, and snake gourd are much good to consume in summer season. Snacks like kheer made of sabudana, samya, rava, fruit salad having in evening times will make us feel fresh and energetic. Having food which contains less oil and boiled vegetables and more gravy curries as dinner is good for your body condition in summer. It’s good to have a glass of butter milk or fruit juice before you sleep. So that we can avoid mouth drying and thirsty problems which disturb your sleep.
Cool Drink:
Cool Drink will not fulfill the thirsty. Most of the people have cool drinks whenever they feel thirsty. But cool Drinks contain an item called aspartyam for getting sweetness to the drink. Due to this, our body needs more water and thirsty increases. The alcohol which we have will make urination more and finally the more amount of water go from our body. Milk and fruit juice increase some thirsty. So it’s better to have water. Water is better than cool drinks to reduce thirsty.
