Swine flue is a respiratory disease which is spreading very speedly in India now. Here are some frequently asked question regarding this deadly diseases which are arises in every body's mind these days:

What will I do if I came in the contact of a person who is suffering from Swine Flu ?

Carry on as normal , unless you have symptoms. If you develop the symptoms in 7 days of the contact than visit to doctor.

Can I go to work if I live with someone with swine Flu ?

Yes , you can but If you develop the symptoms than go to doctor.

After Swine flu , when should I go back to work or school ?

Hospitals keep the adult patients for 5 days after they first develop symptoms. Children usually told to wait for 7 to 10 days after the symptoms begin. A person should wait for 7to10 days to recover from swine flu. You should stay at away form work or school until the majority of your symptoms have subsided.

Can I get swine flu twice ?

Once your have had a virus your body will develops an immunity power against it, so unless there is a significant mutation of swine flu you should not get it again.

When will this Pandemic end ?

It is impossible to predict the end of the pandemic, but form the past experiences the pandemic is likely to continue for 6 to 12 months after which the virus will circulate as any seasonal flu unless it mutates.

DO I HAVE IT

If you have a fever (temperature 100.4 F or above ) and two or  more symptoms from the following:

  • New cough
  • Runny Nose
  • Limb or Joint Pain
  • Headache
  • Sore Throat
  • Diarrhoea/ Vomiting

If so, you should seek medical help immediately.
