Open Means Open Means
If you have a kid you never know what may happen. It is always important to have first aid kit at home and in car especially if you have a kid. There are a lot of kits available in the market but make sure you have everything in your kit. I would suggest to have two separate kits one at home and the other inside the car. Band Aids Band Aids are available in different sizes. Get a box which has all the sizes in it.   Medical Gauze Have at least 2 rolls in each kit. You could use this to arrest bleeding.   Scissors Keep a Safety Scissor handy in the kit so that it can be used to cut the gauze or a Medical tape in the kit.   Thermometer Thermometer is a must in every kit that too if you have a kid. Get a digital thermometer; it gives you the accurate temperature and a best option for persons having kids because most of the kid's wont co operate while checking the temperature.   Burn lotions Keep a burn ointment or a lotion inside the kit.   Antibiotic Ointment                                      Keep an Antibiotic ointment tube. NEOSPORIN or you can include the one which you are used too.   Tweezers It's good to have tweezers inside the kit. Mostly kids or even most of us have been in situation of glass or wooden pieces stuck in foot or any parts of the skin. Tweezers help in removing it easily to prevent getting infection.   Gloves Be safe and keep a pair of gloves that can be used while treating a person with large wounds.   Antiseptic Wipe Packets Keep at least one packet of antiseptic wipes in the kit. This can be used to clean any wounds or cut.   Instant Cold Pack These packs are readily available in the market and they are great for swelling and bruises.   Prescribed and Non Prescribed Medicines You can always have Pain relief or Muscle Massage ointments especially in the Car kit. You can also include Cold Allergic treatment Medicine for kids. Dolo Syrup (for Kids) or any para-acetomol you are used too. If anyone in the family has breathing problems keep a inhaler and the medicine especially inside the car because you never know what type of emergency you will face that too while travelling. The only thing you have to check here is for the expiry. Check for expiry and keep updating it.   Torch light Keep a small handy torch light especially inside the car kit that will help you in case of emergency situations.   Apart from all these I would suggest everyone to have a note of emergency numbers. Parents should learn to react properly in emergency situations.
