Ingredients :-
- Rawa ... 2 cups
- Rice flour ... 1 cup
- Asafoetida ... 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt ... as per taste
- Ginger ... 1 inch piece
- Green chillies ... 4
- Cashewnuts ... 12
- Peppercorns ... 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds ... 1 teaspoon
- Pure ghee ... 2 tablespoons
- Oil
Method of preparation :-
- Blend rawa, rice flour and two and one fourth cups of water to make thin batter. Add asafoetida and salt.
- Chop ginger and wash it. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies finely. Crush cashewnuts and all these to batter.
- Crush peppercorns and cumin seeds. Heat ghee is a pan and fry these peppercorns and cumin seeds on a low heat. Then add all these to batter and stir well.
- Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it by swirling the tawa in a round fashion.
- Pour a tablespoon of oil around and on dosa and cook till it is crisp and golden in color. Remove and serve hot.
