Ingredients:
1) 100 gms tamarind
2) 50 gms sugar
3)50 gms dates
4)1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
5) 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
6) Salt, black pepper and red chilli powder to taste
7)2 cups water
Methods:
1) Wash and soak tamarind 1 cup of water for 10 mins. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave tamarind with water at 100% power for 3-4 mins. Cool,strain and collect the pulp
2)In another microwave safe bowl add khajoor, salt,garam masala,red chilli,1 cup water.Microwave for 4-5 mins at 100% power.When softened, add tamarind pulp,crushed jaggery and microwave at 80% power for 5-6 mins. or till thick. Sprincle roasted cumin seeds powder
3)When cool, strain the chutney and store in clean clothes
