We cook delicious and tasty food. But there may be less or more amount of salt in the food. This has become common. If salt is less in the dish then there is no problem as we can add salt according to our taste. But If salt is more then we cannot do anything. If we consume food with more salt, then it leads to blood pressure and heart problem too. So to avoid such health problems due to salt is more in the dish , let us follow few tips to make it less.
1. The usage of garlic in vegetables gives us the salt taste to the dish. So salt can be replaced by garlic. The dishes like chicken, soup, pasta, if we use garlic in it then the dish will be more delicious and the anti-oxidents present in the garlic will heal health problems like cough, cold and heart problems. We can even use black pepper powder instead of salt. This heals cold very soon.
2. when there is necessity to cook food which contain more salt, then we can use soya sauce which contains more proteins in it. Then we can reduce salt usage. We can use lemon juice as a replacement of salt. We can use lemon juice as salt in few pickles. We can use lemon juice to store things for more days. While preparing carrot salad, if we include little sweet and sour things like dry dates then we have feeling that salt is less.
3. we can reduce salt by using sesame seeds in salt. This provide us calcium.
4. In Some vegetables curries, though you add sufficient salt then also there may not be taste. If we add still more then the curry may be bit taste. Especially while cooking curry like chicken. we can feel the taste that, it is more salty. So we should off the flame for 10 minutes before and add potato pieces in it. These will extract salt , after that take them out from the curry.
5. The curries which we prepare by using spices will contain more salt. Then if we mix fresh curd in it then salt get reduces and the curry tastes as the curry from restaurant taste. We can even use milk cream also.
6. If the salt is more in the items like noodles and fried rice then we cannot add potatoes or curd in it for reducing saltiness. In such situations mix white vinegar with sugar and use this mixture while cooking then the salt content will become less. we should mix this and cook for 2 minutes. If we place lettuce leaves in cooked curries then they will extract the saltiness.
7. While having roti don't add salt and make chapati. Have it with the curry , as curry contains salt.
8. The food items available in market contains more salt. So its good to prepare them in home itself.
