Here are some easy and simple recipes that can be prepared very fast with rice.
Aamchoor Rice
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup.
2. Oil - 2 Table Spoons.
3. Ghee – 1 Table Spoon.
4. Ground Nuts – 2 Table Spoons.
5. Green Chilli – 1.
6. Jeera, Mustard seeds, Menthi seeds, Chana dal, Urad dal - ½ Tea Spoon each.
7. Curry leaves – 5 to 6.
8. Aamchoor powder – 1 Table Spoon.
9. Salt – To taste.
10. Ajanamoto – ½ Tea Spoon.
Procedure:
1. Take a pan and add oil and ghee to it.
2. Now add jeera, mustard seeds, menthi seeds, chana dal, urad dal, ground nuts, curry leaves, and fry them little.
3. Now add rice to it and fry this till all the ingredients mix well.
4. Now add aamchoor powder and salt to it.
5. Fry this for a while and then add ajanamoto and mix the ingredients well, and serve.
Chitrannam (South Indian Special)
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup.
2. Oil - 2 Table Spoons.
3. Lemon juice – from 1 full lemon.
4. Curry leaves – 5 to 6.
5. Ground Nuts – 2 Table Spoons.
6. Salt – To taste.
7. Jeera, Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Urad dal, Asafoetida - ½ Tea Spoon each.
8. Green Chillies – 2.
9. Turmeric powder – ½ Tea Spoon.
Procedure:
1. Take a pan and add oil to it.
2. Now add ground nuts, jeera, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, asafoetida and green chillies to it.
3. While the ingredients are frying, add turmeric powder and curry leaves to it.
4. Now add this to the bowl with rice in it and cover it completely with rice.
5. After the ingredients cool down completely, add salt and lemon juice to it and mix well.
6. Take this into a serving bowl and serve.
Thalimpu Annam (Andhra Special)
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup.
2. Oil - 2 Table Spoons.
3. Ghee – 1 Table Spoon.
4. Ground Nuts – 1 Table Spoons.
5. Green Chilli – 2.
6. Jeera, Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Urad dal - ½ Tea Spoon each.
7. Curry leaves – 5 to 6.
8. Asafoetida – 1 Tea Spoon.
9. Salt – To taste.
Procedure:
1. Take a pan and add oil and ghee to it.
2. Now add jeera, mustard seeds, urad dal, ground nuts, chana dal, curry leaves, and fry them little.
3. Now add rice to it and fry this till all the ingredients mix well.
4. Now add required salt to it.
5. Fry this for a while till all the ingredients mix well, and serve.
Jeera Rice
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup.
2. Oil - 2 Table Spoons.
3. Ghee – 2 Table Spoons
4. Curry leaves – 5 to 6.
5. Chopped Onions – 1.
6. Jeera – 3 Table Spoons.
7. Salt – To taste.
8. Ajanamoto – ½ Tea Spoon.
Procedure:
1. Take a pan and add oil and ghee to it.
2. Now add jeera to it.
3. When this starts to fry, add onions and curry leaves.
4. After all the ingredients fry well, add rice to it and mix well.
5. Now add salt and ajanamoto to the rice and mix till the salt is spread evenly.
6. Now take this into a serving bowl and serve.
These recipes can be easily prepared and are healthy too.
Instant Groundnut Rice
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup.
2. Oil - 2 Table Spoons.
3. Ghee – 2 Table Spoons
4. Curry leaves – 5 to 6.
5. Ground nuts powder – 5 Table Spoons.
6. Jeera – 1 Tea Spoon.
7. Salt – To taste.
Procedure:
1. Take a pan and add oil and ghee to it.
2. When the oil gets heated, add jeera and curry leaves to it.
3. After the ingredients fry well, add rice to it and mix well.
4. Now add ground nut powder to it and salt to the rice and mix till all the ingredients spread evenly.
5. Fry this for 5 minutes and then take this into a serving bowl and serve.
