- While turning off your TV,first switch off the switch on your TV and then the main switch. While turning ON,do the reverse first switch on the main switch and then switch on the TV switch.
- If there is lightning / thunder turn off the main switch for your TV to prevent from any possible damage.
- If suddenly power supply is cut, immediately switch off your TV because sometimes when the power goes and comes on there will be fluctuations in it.
- Picture tube is the most expensive part of your TV. So if you are not actively watching it,switch if off.
- TV should be kept in a place where there is more light or very less light.Keep it in a place where there is optimimum light.
- The bulbs in the area ( living room / bed room ) where TV is kept should be 40 to 60 watt.Bulbs should be placed behind the person sitting and watching TV.
- Don't watch TV sitting very near to it as it may damage your eyes and also will cause headache.Minimum distance should be 10 feet away.
- Don't watch the TV with high volume as it may damage its sound system.
- Don't keep the TV close to the wall.There should be minimum 0.5 feet gap between TV and wall.Then only TV won't get heated much.
- To avoid dust, you can put some cloth for covering the TV. While watching, remove the cloth completely and when putting don't put the cloth immediately after TV is switched off.Allow sometime for it to cool and then put the cloth back.
- Don't keep the TV exposed to direct sunlight.
- Don't keep the TV near windows especially during rainy seasons.
