Dear uncle,

How very kind of you to send me beautiful lamps a week before my 15^th birthday. I don’t recall ever seeing more beautiful lamps. They are simply wonderful. Can’t begin to tell you how much they are appreciated, but surely they are going to replace the old ones that have in our sitting room. We are certain that our neighbors would grow jealous. Though you ought not to have been so extravagant, Must be grateful to you for making such a good choice.
