The format of a formal presentation should be as follows:
- Introduction: it should grab the attention of the audience, introduce the topic, contain a strategy for establishing credibility, preview the speech, establish rules for questions, and have a smooth transition to the main text.
- Main body: it contains all the topics of the presentation, the entire matter organised into a logical sequence
- Conclusion: it contains the highlights, summary, closing statement, a vote of thanks and invites questions.
