School boys are generally blamed for their indiscipline. So many complains are daily seen in newspaper about the objectionable behavior of school boys. Often the heads of institution are taken to task for mischief’s, done by their students.

Lets us hereby try to judge how far the students are right in breaking discipline. Before entering into the details of this problem it would be better for us. First of all to understand what is sense in keeping discipline and how far it can be practiced in educational institutions. Discipline, in the sense it is generally used in the case of students, only means the maintenance of peace and order in schools. These are certain accepted rules of conduct, which are to be followed by the students to maintain discipline. If those rules are not observed the confusion follows. No body can deny the fact that maintenance of discipline in school is necessary for their normal working. The moment, discipline is disturbed the work suffers.

There are many cases of indiscipline in school, which we should try to analyze one by one. In most cases, the cause in found to be political. Politics has become so much a mater of concern with school boy that they start fighting on pretty political differences as a matter of fact; student should keep themselves away from active politics and should feel satisfied merely with the theoretical knowledge of it.

It has become almost common with the students to cut remarks and duty jokes on their fellow students and even sometimes, their teachers. This indicates that indiscipline has taken a very deep root in them and it will be little difficult to reform them.

Co-education should be stopped completely, because it is often found to be a source of great disturbance in schools and colleges. Obedience and discipline should be injected slowly and slowly into the mind of the students in the from of regular lessons on morally the student should also be trained in the principles of general good conduct. If such changes are introduced in schools and colleges instances of indiscipline are sure to get rare.

All sorts of confusion and disturbance will creep in, and it will become impossible to carry on the teaching work smoothly. This naturally makes difficult for the head of the institutions to control his students. The second thing that should be done is the starting of moral education in schools. Obedience and discipline should be injected into the minds of the students, right from the stages of education. The teachers should also learn to behave well with the students. They should always try to give their best of the students and treat them like their own sons. This would surely help in bringing about an atmosphere of peace and good-will in schools. Discipline would be perfectly maintained and they would be in position to give their best to their students.
