STEP 1 : Open a new document of width - 640 px and height - 410 px. Create a new layer by clicking the new layer icon in the layer box. Name this layer as 'Background' and fill this layer with light blue color, that is # 99cccd. Fill using ALT + Backspace. Set the color in the color box before using the shortcut.
STEP 2 : Type a text 'Flaura' , with Font set to - ‘Vivaldi' and Style set to - Italic with Size increased to as large as - 235 pt and sharp effect is selected as style. The color used for the Text is Black. Now duplicate the Text layer to keep it as reference for future just in case you need to make any changes later. Hide the original.
STEP 3 : Adding Butterflies > In the Tools box, there is Shapes option, under that use the Custom Shape tool and select the shape > Butterfly. There is only one butterfly shape. Using this tool, draw three filled butterfly shapes around the text 'F'. The butterfly shape is filled with color - # 286204 (green shade). Draw the butterfly shapes in three different sizes. Also use the Transform tool to rotate them accordingly.
STEP 4 : Adding Flowers >
- Flower 1 > Under the Custom Shape tool, select the shape > Shamrock. This shape has a stem attached to it. Use the pen tool and draw around the stem and delete it. The flower shape is filled with color - Black. Draw the flower shape and place it near the letters - 'ra'. If the shape is hiding the letters, go to Layer menu > Arrange and use the options under it may be 'Bring to front option'. Also use the Transform tool to rotate it if necessary. Set the Blend mode of this Shape layer to = Overlay in the layers box. Also Reduce the Fill level to 70 % (which by default is 100 %).
- Flower 2 > Now, create a duplicate copy of the flower shape using the shortcut CTRL + J by first selecting the flower shape. Now for this second shape, set the fill color to # ae1da2 (Purple shade). Place this shape below the text, in such a way that only half of the shape is visible and the balance half is hidden. Set the Blend mode of this Shape layer also to = Overlay in the layers box. Also Reduce the Fill level to 70 % (which by default is 100 %). Use the Transform tool to rotate if necessary
- Flower 3 > The fill color of this shape is also, # ae1da2 (Purple shade). Set the Blend mode of this Shape layer to = EXCLUSION in the layers box. Also Reduce the Fill level to 70 % (which by default is 100 %). Use the Transform tool to rotate if necessary to rotate the shape and place it above the text.
STEP 5 : Adding a Leaf > Under the Custom Shape tool, select the shape > Ferns. Draw the shape with a decent size to fit the whole document with some space left. The fill color of the shape is # 788080 (Grey shade). Go to Layer menu > Arrange and use the options under it may be 'Send to Back option' so that the letters are not hidden. Use the Transform tool and right click and select the option = Flip Horizontal and click ok. Now use the Transform tool again and right click and use the option = Warp. Enjoy using this tool to click inside the shape and drag them in different directions so that some corners are twisted and the leaf gets a curvy free flowing look. Once satisfied, click OK. Place this shape in front behind the first few letters. Set the mode of this fern shape layer to = MULTIPLY in the layer box.
STEP 6 : Now instead of having a plain blue background, lets have a scattered petals effect. For this, under the Custom Shape tool, select the shape > Grass 1. The shape is of the color # 092a2a (Dark green shade). For drawing this shape, click in the front, at the starting point of the document and drag towards the end point of the documents. This Drag movement is from Left to Right. Set the mode of this shape layer to = Normal But, Reduce the Fill level in the layer box to 20 % (which by default is 100 %). If any letters are hidden, arrange the layers accordingly. This is a very simple Flaural theme and easy to create. Make it more creative by adding relative shapes.
