Procedure:
1.) Open a new document of any size and have the background color as # 000407.
2.) Select the Background layer, and duplicate the layer using CTRL + J to create another copy where some effect would be added.
3.) Now select the above layer for background and use Filter menu > Filter Gallery > Texture > Craquelure, and adjust the following settings.
2.) Type a text (in this example, Stroke) Use,
Font- ‘Warnock Pro’ and Style-Regular
Size- 200pt and sharp effect.
Color - # 56b51c. The color really does not matter as the whole text would be deleted.
3.) Create another copy of this Text layer using CTRL + J and rasterize the layer by Right click and selecting the option, ‘Rasterize Type’.
4.) Now comes the important part. Use the magic wand Tool and Select the individual letters as the layer is rasterized. Selection can be made by first selectin an alphabet and then move over other alphabets and right click and select ‘Add selection’. You can also, select the background using the magic wand tool and under select menu, select the inverse option to select only the text.
5.) Once all the alphabets are selected, delete them by pressing delete key on the keyboard.
6.) You will notice that the outline would still be visible .Do not disable it. While the outline is visible, select the Blending options by right click the layer and set the following stroke adjustments.
The color and the SIZE are very important.
The color used is- # c8ea2a and size is 9. Name this layer as ‘Stroke4’.
7.) Create THREE copies of this Stroke4 layer and name them as stroke3, stroke2 and stroke1.
8.) Settings for Stroke 3 layer:
The color used is- # 9a0787 and size is 6.
9.) Settings for Stroke 2 layer:
The color used is- # b67c1f and size is 3.
10.) Settings for Stroke 1 layer:
The color used is- # 56b51c and size is 2.
Hide the original text layer and view the layers with stroke only. Other blending options can also be adjusted but this the basic idea.
