What is the quality of good tester?
First of all, a tester is a GOOD OBSERVER. He should process the following.
1) Test to break attitude - Break application to ensure it does not break in customer end, thinking out of box.
2) Ability to think as customer's point of view.
3) A strong desire for quality.
4) Gives more attention to minor details. Should not compromise anything.
5) Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
6) Most important, Judgement skills, like.
- focusing need, priority and saverity,
- what functionality need to test first?
-Identification of risk areas in application.
- When time limit for testing then anaylsing the importance what need to be tested.
-Effective Bug Reporting.
- Decision about when to stop testing.
- Should be good at in folloing documents:
1) SRS - Software Requirement Specifications.
2) FS - Functional Specification.
3) BRD/BRS - Bussiness Requirement Docs/Specification.
4) URS - User Requirement Specification.
5) Use Cases.
