Our mind stops learning the moment we start finding faults with our elders who taught us A... B... C... in nursary.

This says we must respect our elders.I know sometimes they are wrong but to say them wrong is actually wrong. :)
I dont agree with that ! One should be open to corrections at any stage of life.If there is something that I feel is not right in what my mother tells me I point it out to her and we discuss the issue. That does not mean that I do not respect my mother since I cherish her ...
Pointing our elders mistakes does not mean that we do not respect them. They may be wrong sometimes and we should correct but in a better way by not forgetting that they are elders. And obviously our mind does not stop learning when we find faults because we also learn something when we point out someone's mistake.

Pointing out for someone's mistake rudely will definitely hurt him/her.So we should always point out their faults softly so that they may not get hurt. :)

In fact, I am learning many things from my children and I never hesitate to discuss an issue with them since they are able to give their own views about it.We are growing all the time as individuals, it is left to us as to how best we put all the learning and experience into good use ...

The same here Ram :) , all my 3 children helped me in different ways to learn using the computer and the net and also helped me in many other ways so that I am able to manage on my own ( at least to some extent ) - but when I have some problem I message my son :cheer: ...

I agree with you, learning should be from all angles and stages of life. If we make simple things like learning from someone who is younger than us or less experienced would simply be an ego issue and we will not really learn anything. As we grow older, it is a fact that we do not comprehend fast changes in technology, these can be better learned from the younger lot!

That is normal for every one.

It's told...matha..pitha.....guru and last the god.
Actually, teacher shows us God and of course, the light and power of knowledge. He is not far behind our parents.
Yet, in the modern world, he has lost his importance
Yes Sandhya Rani... maata-pitaa and God are slowly losing their importance...
We have become more practical...
It’s a corporate world and Mall culture...
We believe that this life is quite short for enjoying it to the fullest…
If we follow all the outdated protocols for the retired family heads (formerly called parents) then our life would turn into mess…
So is the case of the entity of God… Where is he? We have not seen him… We do not know why the global scientists at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research, Switzerland) have named the basic particle Higgs boson as the God Particle…
We do not know why Sunita Williams is carrying Lord Ganesh’s statue on her second space sojourn…
Yes a mistake is a mistake even if it is committed by father… our intellect reigns supreme… We should point it out to him point blank…

No such thing as stopping of our mind, it is active all the time , absorbing and making an impression on you even without your realising it. Similarly learning is an ongoing process, we learn from life each day and also from people and from our dealings with them ..The other day my maid was telling me about their own food habits since she comes from a place called Gadag and I tried out a couple of her recipes. For me that has been a learning process ..
We are talking about learning from old FATHER and MOTHER...Why are we avoiding to accept that yes, we still need to learn from them.
Its a good idea- learning from SERVANTS and CHILDREN... But why not from PARENTS...
We want to point-out mistakes in them rather than learning from them, without whom we would not have existed today...
Now, let's be prepared to face the same treatment from our children when we grow old (60 years plus) and our children become the bread earners.
...GOOD LUCK...

We may learn from every one. Parents are most apt to guide. Even if we disagree with them, our attitude must be respectful.
