Friends,

I have come across this interesting piece written by J.M.Singh which I reproduce:

"...and with those words

the entire auditorium burst into a big round of applause!

it was a mesmerising discourse on god!

swamiji was elated at the unstopping resonance of clapping by over a thousand deligates!

after a brief pause

the open-house question and answer session started.

question after question was tossed in front of the brilliant guru

who gave answers which triggered fresh burst of ecstasy among the sea of followers!

no wonder the swamiji had become so popular so fast!

everything was gliding smoothly as planned when a question surprised everyone

"swamiji, what if god were to come amidst us in flesh and blood? how would we recognise him?"

everyone was struck with awe with the question-of-the-day by a youth!

swamiji was delighted at the question.

answers to such questions had helped inflated his clout!

"don't worry!" replied swamiji, to an ultra-attentive audience.

"i am with you. i will recognise him."

the answer was greeted with a thunderous applause by everyone except the youngman!

"what if he asked you to vacate the high seat, swamiji?" he quickly threw his supplementary question.

this question killed the thunder in a flash!

the smiles on the face of the followers of the sect turned blank and then into anger!

everyone was shocked at the mischievous question!

even swamiji felt a lump in his throat.

he had never faced such a blunt question in his entire "career"!

the cameras were rolling live

swamiji brought smile on his face back

and returned a calculated answer

"in that case i would have to ask him for his identity card!"

the entire gathering again erupted in joy!

they were proud of their guru and his quick-wittiness!

but the joy in the air was short lived.

the young guy was in no mood to let swamiji off the hook in the duel!

he had sensed that swamiji's makeup was coming off.

"what if the god produced his identity card?"

the audience now wanted this guy's blood!

the security guards started inching towards him.

entire world was watching.

swamiji handled the delicate situation by quickly intervening

"in that case i would send the identity card to the forensic lab to check whether it is forged!"

swamiji rebutted, unable to hide the tense breath!

this time there was no applause

everyone turned towards the youngman to see if he had anything left to say more!

"what if the concerned examiners confirmed the authenticity of the i-card?"

"that's not possible. those officers are my followers!" swamiji's toungue slipped under

provocation in an unguarded moment.

now it was personal face-off between swamiji and the challenger!

"what if god sacked the obliging officers?"

this was too much for the officers who were sitting there only!

"we will never allow that!" they shouted. "our union will never let it happen!"

"what if god dissolved the union."

"over our dead bodies!" declared the president of the union sitting in the front row!

swamiji was pleased at the show of strength!

"god can't do whatever he wishes. he isn't even invited! this is democracy. god would have to do what the majority wants! "

"yeah! yeah! yeah!" everyone in the hall shouted in support!

"and majority will want what our swamiji will desire!"

A superb story.Swamiji's replies were terrific. He won because he was with the truth and the opponent simply wanted to embarrass swamiji.

The concept of God is: shapeless, all powerful who may take any decision and do anything. This concept is definitely undemocratic. Hence, the Swamyji will demolish Him.
The motive was to distract swamiji's flow but truth always finds majority. And it was amply proved.
This was an amazing story.

I want reproduce a short story here, you people may heard of this one:

A mother has a son and his father has expired when he is 2 months baby. She worked hard alot and looked after her son.Her song became big and started working. One day he fall in love with a beautyfull girl. He asks her to accept his love. But she wont. Finally he asks what you want me to do for you to accept my love. That beautiful girl asks him to get his mothers heart. As he is mad in her love and her, he just killed her mother and bringing her heart. On the way he struck with a stone and fell down. Then heart of his mother said "Oh Son becarefull".

The moral of the story, Mother always want her children to be happy though she die.
Chinmoy, a very nice story shared here. There are many people in this world like the young Man who tried to embarrass swamiji. They always try to poke their nose in to unwanted issues rather than taking the good essence.
Chinmoy that is interesting story indeed and smartly answered and thanks for sharing.. :)
Thanks sarala for sharing a short and cute moral story :)
Interesting story Chinmoy!!

I think the motive of the young man was not to distract but to expose the deceit of the Swami who made tall claims and by sheer gift of lucid speeches had turned a huge mod of people into his followers!

Aren't we already seeing just too many examples of similar babajis and maharajas etc. even in the 21st century today???

We do need more of such rationally thinking and courageous men who will question such conmen and make others see reason!
Chinmoy that is interesting story indeed and smartly answered...
nicely written man... keep throeing that kind of ...
Nice story thanks for sharing it carries a good moral too keep sharing.
I like stories about people doing interesting things when they ... wow. check out Chinmoy interesting story
Thanks all and here is one more from the same author on what excessive and obessive fear can do to us!

"Once a snake was spotted in the thick bushes
at the end of the lawn in front of the house
the family searched for it frantically
but couldn't find it!
that night they could hardly sleep.
next day they searched again
without any success
"it seems to have gone!" everyone thought
but the fear of snake stayed back.
they kept the light in the verandah on
to scare off the snake
in case it was still around!
none could have a sound sleep that night also
next day they decided that enough was enough
so they set the dry bushes on fire!
all bushes were reduced to ash
and there was no snake!
all family heaved a big sigh of relief!
they expected to have a sound sleep that third night
but somehow they couldn't
the fear of past 48 hours refused to go away immediately!
so they kept the verandah light on for that night too!
night passed off peacefully
next morning
when the lady of the house opened the door of the bathroom
she was welcomed by the snake!
what had happened was that
the burning of the bushes had resulted in the snake being rendered homeless
and hence running out for another shelter
since none existed in the cemented neighbourhood
the wandering snake saw the movement of rodents in the verandah
which were attracted by the light
left 'on' to ward-off the snake.
snake reached the verandah and found the way in!
the very steps to ward-off the snake
resulted in the snake landing directly into the house!
Wow , this was another nice story, go on ceeem and let out all the contents of your repository. Thanks once again.

Very nice. Fear does not remove danger. Also danger comes from the safest side and unexpectedly.
