China has recently commented that it doesn't want to be the biggest military power and rule the world, instead it wants to efficiently feed her people and improve their economic conditions. What do you think, why China has commented like this ?

Being biggest power and ruling the world is the weirdest and silliest thing any one may desire. Alexander and Hitler had such dreams. These led them no where. The foremost duty of any government is to assure satisfactory living conditions of people. That is what the comment is. This is sensible and real.

The context in which this comment was made is not known. Presumably, this would have been made in reply to some question about china's plan.

Yes, a country should look the welfare of its people rather than making it a super power with arms.

The suggestion is reasonable. The slogan: Power flows from barrel of gun/ came from china. Now china is trying to improve the image.

A country should try to provide the basic amenities to all their people and make them feel safe and secured in all aspects.
