Tirumala Temple Replicas Around India

The ancient and sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, Venkatachala (Venkata Hill) of the Tirupati Hill, and lies on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini.

It is by the Lord’s presidency over Venkatachala, that He has received the appellation, Venkateswara (Lord of the Venkata Hill). He is also called the Lord of the Seven Hills.

It is just like exploiting the devotees eventhough it is beneficial to them.

Lord Venkateswara of Tirupathi is called as GOD of Kali Yuga and is indeed very costly and hyped God... Many more can be expected from TTD in future.

Well, I personally think that instead of spending extravagant amounts of money, they should instead be helping more towards conservation of ecology and large-scale projects such as rainwater harvesting and similar such stuff! That would be more beneficial!

kalyani your idea is though very nice it is vey big word for the Devasthanam people of Tirupathi as I hope you previously heard that they were lot of scams :)

I don't think this is a good move.It will be just a replica.But originality will never lose its popularity. :)

I think it's nothing but an attempt to make commercial exploitation of Tirumala Temple! I completely agree with Kalyani's views!

I agree with you Chinmoy.This is one of the ways to generate more revenue making use of people's ignorance. :( :( .

Instead of dumping so much of money in hundis,they can at least spend it for the education of people who cannot afford for education.

Money is the motive behind all such.It is not the God name spreading.

I wonder whether Lord Venkateshwara would be comfortable with this idea!!

It astonishes me a lot that of late, there has been a lot of talk going on about bringing the huge amounts of black money that belongs to Indians which is there in the Swiss banks. We talk about it a lot, that the money in the Swiss banks would feed millions of hungry Indians and send thousands of poor children to schools. But almost the same amount of money is there in India itself, belonging to many temples, Tirupati being one of them!

What use is this money being put to? Even if half of it was put into such projects that I earlier mentioned, India would be a much more cleaner and greener country!

That's absolutely correct,Kalyani! We so often hear some noises about it but none seems to be serious about bringing it back for obvious reasons!
