The Shiv Sena targeted Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in its party mouthpiece Saamna on Friday.

Sena slammed the actor for appearing on a Pakistani TV show on the second anniversary of the 26/11 terror attack.

Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna claims that SRK will also host a dinner party at a restuarant in London for Prime TV where a fashion show will also be organised.

A news item in Saamna claims, "while the country mourns the deaths of 26/11 terror attack victims, SRK is going to dance and sing for a Pakistani channel called Prime TV in London."

This is not the first time the party has targeted the actor. Earlier in January, it launched a campaign against Shahrukh Khan for his stand on allowing Pakistani players to play in IPL.

In April, the Shiv Sena criticised SRK for renaming the heritage bungalow he purchased to 'Mannat'.

Shiva Sena has nothing for peace, progress and prosperity of nation. They simply target celebrities from films or sports on petty matters for gaining cheap popularity.

Agreed! But why does Shahrukh Khan go out of his way to promote Pakistanis every time? Also, he chose the wrong day and time to appear on the Pakistani TV, when the nation is still grieving the deaths of 26/11 victims, he should have shown his solidarity to India and not Pakistan!

What Shahrukh Khan does is improper but is not unlawful. Shiva Sena need not give him so much prominence.
Shiv sena need a issue and finally they got SRK second time.
Though Shiva sena has catch a wrong issue, I see that Sharuk's fault is also there..though it it unlawful..Some times emotions also count and we cannt compared every think according to law..
I think it is a publicity stunt.When the celebrities are focussed the news will get value.
Here I find Shiv Sena to be helping Sharukh to thrive in this controversy!!

Criticizm by shiva Sena helps Shahrukh as he gets publicity. Otherwise few would notice him.
But as a famous celebrity he doesnt need publicity in a negative way... :S

I agree with Rajani! As a celebrity he has a lot of influence over common people and he shoudl stay away from anything that would draw negative criticism, especially when it concerns the friends or foes of our country!
@Kalyani

I am not going into the propriety of Saharukh's act which may be open to various interpretations but Shiv Sena's attempt to make an issue out of a non-issue has brought Sharukh's act into prominence which would have largely gone unnoticed!

@Gulshan

Thanks for elucidating my comments!
Yes I also support Rajani's view.I think Sivsena aims publicity through this.
Shiv Sena don't have any other task than to do such controversies. Where was it asleep when Mumbai Terrorist Attacks occurred and people from all over the country cam to rescue ?
