Rakhi Ka Insaaf is a popular reality show. Justice is done by rakhi Savant posing as judge. Recently, one participant committed suicide because Rakhi chided him using the term 'impotent' or namard for him.
AN F.I.R. has been lodged against Rakhi. But what is rakhi's fault. The participants voluntarily attended the reality show that was for public viewing. Rakhi neither summoned them nor had this power vested in her. The participants attended the show for their own publicity and satisfaction and Rakhi did not force them to appear on the TV show. The publicity of this kind can also give adverse results for which participants are themselves to blame.

The remarks by Rakhi were indeed offensive and may be unpalatable. I personally dislike the reality shows. The language used in Big Boss is so offensive that children are learning foul language.
The participants on such shows have no business to complain. The viewers are the only segment who may feel aggrieved. Thus, the relatives of person who participated in 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf' cannot justly complain about the show even though we may have sympathy for the participating victim.

The remarks by Rakhi were indeed offensive and may be unpalatable. I personally dislike the reality shows. The language used in Big Boss is so offensive that children are learning foul language.

The question here is not whether Rakhi is innocent or not, irrespective of whether the participants came of their own will or were summoned by the producers of the show, there remains the fact that Rakhi's language is indeed foul and vulgar! We cannot ask for completely banning such shows, because there is a particular class of viewers who want to watch them, but there should be some kind of set guidelines and norms depending on the usage of powers vested in anchors like Rakhi and the language being used by them.

I agree with you that there is a certain degree of unreal elements in these shows, and if it is proved that the death of the person is linked with the treatment meted out to him by Rakhi, then certianly there should be judicial action against her as well as the producers of the show!

Only viewers can complain of a bad TV show. A participant is part of the show and he cannot complain. Rakhi is definitely not a fault. Personally, I also do not like foul language and seldom watch TV shows- especially so called reality show. But there appears no justification in prosecuting Rakhi just because he could not bear Rakhi's satirical remarks during show. Over sensitive people need not participate in such shows and even if they do, this is at their own risk. For this matter, even viewers not liking such show may not view these. I also do not view such shows. Obviously, I cannot complain against such shows because I have an option not to view.

You do have a point Gulshan! All participants would naturally be aware of what the show is all about and also are aware of teh way Rakhi conducts the show! Naturally it would be expected that the participants be ready to receive the flak from her! Also it was of their own will that they appeared on the show! REcently even in the popular reality show Big Boss some foul language and offensive comments was passed by one contestant on Sweta tiwari of popular soap serials fame..But the solution was found there itself and she told that such things are common in reality shows to increase the spicy gossips and temperment of co-members...
So I think Rakhi has intention done this as a part of reality shows tactics..but the participate was not able to bare that and cowardly commited suicide.. :(

It is matter of satisfaction that my view point has been completely appreciated. As long as the exact purpose of all TV show is in mind, there will be no problem. The TV show- reality or otherwise- is only for viewers' entertainment and nothing else. The problem arises if you consider the show as real court of justice or some thing else.

It is matter of satisfaction that my view point has been completely appreciated. As long as the exact purpose of all TV show is in mind, there will be no problem.
