Tata Motors ups Nano price by Rs 9K

New Delhi: Tata Motors today said it will increase the prices of its small car Nano, dubbed as the Rs 1-lakh wonder, by about Rs 9,000 with effect from November 1 to offset rising input costs. This is the second time that the company has increased the rate of the car. In July this year, the company raised Nano's price by 3-4%, translating into a hike ranging between Rs 3,700 and Rs 6,894 (based on ex-showroom, Delhi prices).

It's the second time that the price has been revised upwards! Is't going the Maruti-800 way!

The same thing happened in the case of Maruti too! Gradual rise in its price would ultimately push it out of reach of common man!

Chinmoy- The money of common man also- especially government employees has also risen after sixth pay commission. So no problem if car price also rises a bit.

As Rajani said it would further rise towards 2 lakhs it seems.But,again it would be difficult for everybody to afford. :( :(

As rightly stated by some members, the price of Nano is touching Rs. two lac. This is going Maruti way as predicted by some. see the link below:
