The gruelling two-month-long wait for the 33 trapped Chile miners is almost at its end as the rescue shaft is expected to reach them by Saturday, Oct 9.
The rescuers, part of one of the world's most complex and trickiest rescue operation ever, are currently drilling the last part of an escape shaft.
The workers have so far drilled 2,O50 feet and are left with the last few meters. Relatives and friends of the trapped miners are anxious at the same time excited during the last few hours of the rescue as they wait near the mine to greet the rescued miners.
