Save water

Ya, I will make sure that all the taps are closed and and I also request everyone to spend few minutes to close the taps, whenever you see any taps not shut down properly on the roadside, as you travel.

Ya sure i take care of this thing when i leave from home till date i did not make any mistake for that.

Of course. When it comes to stuff like that i always see that they are in order not only when i leave the house, but immediately when i leave that area in kitchen, bathroom etc.

Yes. I used to close taps properly after its usage. Also we should open the tap only when water is needed. For eg. while washing vessels in kitchen, we don't need water while applying cleaning powder to the vessels. So it is better to open the tap after applying cleaning powder for all vessels to avoid wastage of water.

Yes friend. I make sure before leave from tap for two times..water is very important for our life we can't live without water.. So i request everyone to make sure before leaving from you tap.. Thanks

Following is the incident that prompted me to post this thread...

Recently our apartments building housing 168 flats faced an emergency water crisis. All the four water pumps broke down. We managed to lift water with the help of lone fire hydrant water pump. We could fill the overhead tanks only to their half capacity.

To our surprise we found that about 25 flat residents went out for their jobs leaving their water taps open. we had a tough time stopping the water flow from the external valves. It took a couple of days for reinstating usual water supply. Being the Vive President of the Resident's Welfare Association (RWA) I had to run around and work round the clock for ensuring comfortable life to our residents.

Yes. I believe in avoiding waste of any resource- water, electricity, petrol. I close all taps when I go anywhere. I tyrn tap off as soon as I have water for use. The discussion raised is on a very significant issue. We must save resources including water and waste nothing. Water is most important and needs to be preserved. It is often said that next world war may be for water. We have seen water dispute between Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Water is so significant.
