Hosts India opened their medal account in Commonwealth Games weightlifting competition when Soniya Chanu bagged a silver medal and Sandhya Rani Devi clinched a bronze in the women's 48 kg class at the Jawaharlal Nehru sports complex on Monday.

India's progress in medal tally has been good so far but I yearn for more!
In 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men's Pairs Shooting, India won Gold.
Silver goes to Malaysia, and Bronze to Australia.
As of now, India got 13 Gold, 11 Silver and 7 Bronze medals...

I think form now on winning medals is likely to get tougher tougher as India is not very strong in the events lined up in the next few days! Yet here's wishing all the participants very best!
India has won another gold medal in Commonwealth Games on Friday, Oct 8. India added its 15th gold to the medal tally by winning gold in women's archery event.
Indian team got 207 points against England's 206in women's archery event.Yes,as chinmoy said the competitions are getting tougher and tougher. :) :)

I think the Gold tally has gone upto 16 and the prospects for a few more have brightened up!

I really don't know why different links show different medal tallys.Have a look at this link which states India's bronze count is 11.http://news.oneindia.in/sports/cwg2010/medal-tally.html
Now India had won many medals and we are bagging them in unexpected events also as report says.
