Delay likely in Cooking gas Delivery in Hyderabad

Getting a refill for domestic cooking gas is likely to get delayed further this festive season due to non-clearance of subsidy dues by the state government to oil companies and also because of a severe shortfall in the number of gas cylinders.

With the number of consumers waiting for a gas cylinder in the state already crossing the 1.5-lakh mark, the existing 10-day delivery time is all set to increase by another week.

In Hyderabad alone, the waiting list was 69 lakh, followed by 63,000 in Vijayawada and 18,000 in Visakhapatnam. The waiting list for various regions was in the range of five to seven days.
