Tamil film industry lost one person this month and she is the popular playback singer Swarnalatha.She won a national award for the song 'Porale Ponnuthayi' from the film 'Karuthamma'.It seems she had kidney failure.She is a very good singer and may her soul rest in peace.

Swarnalatha has given many hits in tamil movies. Her song "POVOMA OORGOLAM" in the movie Chinna thambi is a super hit.

Her voice is unique..I love all songs of her. "POONGATRILE" "PORALE PONNUTHAYI" And many more which has won many awards. It is sad to see that she ended her life in 37 years.
