What if the cheque lost in transit(Over 20% of the cheques are asked for duplicate)? And what about the bank, handling, envelope and other charges? What if you were in far east states like Kashmir? To make accountable for all of the above, a fixed Rs.50 is charged.

Kalyani Hearty Congratulations for getting paid for the first time..I think similar question was asked by deepti about 50 Rs. hopeyou got the answer. Maybe if online transfer is introduced such charges may not be charged... :unsure: :) :) :)
