Yes Abid i also wantto know what Mathi is trying to say..I think it is really shameful thing a popular person is been questioned for his nationality...They should be proud that he is an indian..

Mr.Kapil Sibal should know that no one knows him beyond the borders of India and Anand is a true champion with world-wide fame.Mr. Sibal and his minions stand condemned in their own act!!

Vishwanadhan Anand really deserves it, he has inspired so many of the south indians.

The Grand Master quoted " I have always played under the indian flag,held an indian passport right from the time i took my first overseas trip". It would have really hurted him. But a great applause to him as he didnt reveal his feelings and he immediately engaged himself in the contest with 40 mathematicians.What's wrong in having a dual citizenship?

Ever since Mr. Kapil Sibal was allowed to hold the charge of HRD Ministry he started throwing his weight about pretending to be the Super Vice Chancellor of India.Modesty is alien in his character.This loud-mouthed minister's head always bubbles with quixotic ideas.If you remember he is the author of abolition of class ten examinations.He should take lessons of golden silence from his leader Dr.Manmohan Singh!

Mr. kapil Sibbal is notorious for his stupid gaffes, this is an example of yet another one. He does not even deserve to comment anything about Vishvanathan Anand who has done India proud and has brought fame to all of us. Whereas Mr. Sibbal has done nothing concrete to the benefit of Indians by way of employment or training or anything! Why doesn't he just shut his mouth??

There may be nothing wrong in dual membership. But the bureaucrats function in their own style. I do not know whether a foreign citizen can also be an Indian citizen. I also do not know whether a person born in India acquiring foreign citizen retains Indian citizenship also. These are legal matters and cannot be commented on without relevant knowledge. However, as the Minister has sought apology, the controversy has a happy ending.

It is very unfortunate event ! Shame on this Kapil Sibel, who doesn't know how to speak properly. He is thinking himself Big Boss even above Vishwanathan Anand who has done a lot for country. It is true, if kapil sibel goes foreign, no body will recognize him.

Now the LAMP is considering itself brighter than the SUN. :blink:

Mr.Sibal simply overstepped the proverbial Lakshman Rekha by poking his nose into a matter which is in the domain of the university concerned.His habit of keeping a finger in every pie must come to an end.Good night to all my friends!

The Human Resource development Ministry had failed to reward and respect a champion. Shame on HRD ministry.

When one of our journalists contacted Oxford University and asked if the clearance of the British Government is required to honor any person for the University.He just replied that he won't dignify this question with an answer.Just think of it!These universities are very sensitive in protecting their academic rights and freedom and look at the scenario here!

Finally it happened.
Vishwanadhan Anand felt very bad in such a way that has rejected the honor given to him too...
We should be proud to have a great player for INDIA... :)

The political treatments are sometimes like this.A honour becomes a dishonour!

I think it is most of the times like that. Every where, they want to show their importance and so called intelligence(?).
