Aug 16: With a market value of about Rs 3,71,000 crore, the Tata Group, led by Ratan Tata, became India's wealthiest business group.

Followed by Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries (RIL), Anil Agarwal-promoted Sterlite group at third, Anil Ambani group (ADAG) at fourth, Sunil Mittal-led Bharti group at fifth, Tata became number one in terms of cumulative market capitalization.

As individual, Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian, and in top 5 in the world. Tata group exceeded Mukesh's Reliance group. much is due to the current bull run, where tata stocks fared better than Reliance stocks....
