Tired after waiting for more than a year for a job, around 70 former students of Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training met Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde on Saturday at the party’s local office, Anand Ashram, and presented their grievances. The students claimed that they were promised jobs as cabin crew but were instead sent to call centres and hospitals for job interviews.
They also alleged that during the course a few faculty members made them kiss boys and seduce them, and also smoke and drink “so that they would get placements”.
Shinde has asked the institute’s Thane centre head to return the fees to the students through cheques or else the “Sena would agitate in their own style”.
Another teacher would play the truth and dare game and made us ask ‘dirty’ questions. We are all from conservative families,” said a 21 year old student, who did not wish to be named.

I think airhostess is dignified profession and is as important as pilot training...they is wrong beliefs that it need beauty and good looking women who have to impress every passeger..
They are not prostitudes but are just like nurses in hospital to take care of passengers needs..
I think the institute should be cancelled and never allowed to do such cheating again..

I agree that airhostess profession is dignified and nobody says they are prostitutes. Personally, I respect prostitutes also. However, an air hostess needs be good looking and possess pleasant pr personality. Beauty is also an important attributes in profession like air Hostess.
I agree however that appropriate action must be taken if the institute is found indulging in any malpractices or cheating.

I agree. It always takes two to do anything- right or wrong. Often people take short cuts because they are themselves not convinced of their worth. so they make compromise for the same of getting what they do not deserve. If we do not want to be exploited, we must fir clearly assess ourselves and our real worth and aim at only reasonable targets.
