Mamata Banerjee is thus riding tiger. She is safe as long as she does not dismount the tiger. We are reminded of the fact that Indira Gandhi encouraged Bhindrawale led extremists in Punjab for defeating Akali Dal. Mamata is doing same in West Bengal.

To stay in power or to achieve their ununderstandable motives, the politicians will do anything!! Gulshan, like you said, the news did remind me of what Indira Gandhi did in Punjab!

BJP is national level main party and is welcome in every state including West Bengal. In fact, all parties are welcome to play their role democratically. However, Trinmool congress is an anarchic organization as is clear from the fact of driving Tata away from West Bengal.
