Laptop cooling

How often it gets heated? Usually it will start getting heated when use it continuously for 2 hours or more.
I don't know whether this will help. But switching of the monitor when not using it may reduce heat. Also keeping laptops in a cool place may help in reducing heat.

Yes the lap side of laptop is getting heated after a continuous use of two hours.

Sridevi, it is the common characteristic of the laptop to get heated up. This would effect the laptop and may also result in the HDD crash!!

So it is always advised to keep laptop in a cool place while working. The ideal place is in Air conditioned room.

Yes laptops have tendency of becoming hot and that too not requently but on long usuage....I too use for almost all the day and also tried that USB cooling fan in market...but it is not helping me..i know that all people do not have AC and i think if you change the power options to power saver it can help to some extent...

I am trying that way..in power saver if you are not using your laptop,the system will immediately go to sleep mode and in that mode you processor will not have any activity and this can help your laptop to cool..Try this..its not expert advice but i use this and have noticed some change.. :)
