Why Gentle person avoid to become politician?

@Santosh, to become a politician you need to be as thick-skinned as a rhinoceros, insensitive to others' sufferings and blind to others' miseries!!

Therefore a gentle and sensitive person cannot become a politician!!

I think today's means of politics is power if you have power and money than you can become good politician.

The present politicians are all gentlemen! Only you need to scratch their surface!

I do not think all are gentleman I think most of them are corrupted and filling his pocket with money.

Looking at the present Bhopal Gas disaster judgement and other deeds of the congress party it is apparent that even though there are good politicians some bad politicians always pull them down to dirt.

Due to the corruption people stay away.
when some one ask you bribe to compete our job You give because you want things should move smoothly and easy process we are creating them so no need to worry when we all will awake gentle person will dare to stand in election

I think gentle person can not fight with criminals of politics thats they make distance .......

I think the principal reason why gentle people are keeping shy of politics is that it is turning out to be a violent game!

A politician leads people. He should represent them. Our people are rogues, ruffians and corrupt. a gentle person is unqualified to represent them. Obviously, a gentle person should not enter politics.

As a population politicians like Mayawati, Lalu, Shibu Soren etc are more suited to become politicians!!

I can not understand why we are attaching so much of importance to gentleness as virtue of a successful politician.To succeed in politics we need a seperate set of attributes.
