Style of writing?

Very good issue. The purpose of writing is to effectively coomunicate. The style depends on the complexity of topic and the attributes of recipient of communication. So writing on a serious topic meant for professioal will be different than that meant for lay man. In general, sentences should be short, words used commonly. An average reader should not be required to use dictionary. The sentences hould not be so long that the message is lost.

style of writing does matter if you are writing an interesting story or letter or poem as if you are writing a letter times new roman or ariel format is attractive if your writing a poem italic is attractive so it depends on the situation of concepts.

Rebecca. style of writing differs from fonts/ format. style is use of words. some write simple small sentences. Many use idioms. The styles are narrative, conversational, humorous.
