Will Manmohan Singh make way for Rahul Gandhi

Without doing any analysis, we can outright conclude MMS is submissive, when he has chosen to be PM to lead the way for Gandhi scions to take the chair later in the days to come!!

Rahul Gandhi not accepting the cabinet post is an indication that he will directly hold the post of PM, so he doesnt want to expose his ability to work, by accepting other cabinet portfolio.

Whatever Sonia Gandhi will tell , he will do that.. He is dancing on the fingers of Sonia.. He is just like puppet .. But India need a Dynamic PM not puppet PM . He is just implementer of the decisions taken by Sonia Gandhi.

It would not be surprising that one day when we wake up and find Rahul Gandhi is PM..

I think on the completion of one year in office in his second term the interview he gave displayed his maturity as a poltician excepting the part relating to Rahul Gandhi.I am very sorry to say that he sounded so pathetically sychophantic!!

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday reiterated that Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi has all the qualities to be a good prime minister and said he would prefer "at some stage" in his possible second term to hand over power to someone younger than himself.

We have a democratic system and let Dr. Singh concentrate on the myriad problems India has during the remaining part of his prime ministerial tenure instead of wasting his thoughts about his successor.

You are correct. Dr. Sing don't have to think for his successor since the congress party itself has a Democratic system [ they says ] for selecting there leaders.

When an erudite and respectable person like Dr Singh goes out of his way to sing peans for a person who is less than half his age spotting some outstanding talents in him.It only highlights the sycophantic culture that is the bane of our system.

We should be freed from dynastic politics. If Congress has nothing in mind except Gandhi Nehru dynasty, there is nothing to stop Congress going to dust bin of History. already congress is far away from the 'glorious past of Nehru- Indira era'.
Manmohan Singh is nobody to make way for Rahul gandhi or anyone else. The people will decide the composition of parliament and resultant government.

The position needed lot of experience and after Manmohan singh, Rahul is not at all suitable as he is new in this field.I think people will decide which one is right from the expereinced people present in the party.

It has become a settled habit with some to treat the country as the extension of their families!!!

This has been discussing for a long.I think Rahul has to be more experienced to be a PM of country like India.

Let the people of India decide on this question.Dynastic succession in a democracy is a creation of India and no other democracy practises it excepting a few countries in our neighbourhood.

Chinmoy- Dynastic politics is a negation of democracy. The few countries in our neighborhood are in no way democratic. I feel that Indians have not yet matured as true democratic citizens. That is why many cling to family/ caste based leadership. The day our people get matured, the dynastic politics will go.

I wonder why our people think like this.Ability is to be proved through ages and experiences.Not to be bestowed on a family.

Our infatuation with any particular family has a devastating effects on Indian politics.Now even leaders at the block levels have started replicating this practice!
