if God doesnt exist.
let me ask you all a question.
if some day science can prove that God doesnt exist, then will u be able to believe?
all religions stand on the assumption that God exists so we will finally have equality in society as all religions will be proved wrong.

Sajeetharan- Humanity, animal world and our forests as well as universe and nature are significant. We all believe in all these. Nobody has seen God. This is just a hypothetical manner.
Secondly, all do not believe in God. The atheists do not believe. There were some branches in Hindu religion that did not believe in God. Charwak, sage did not believe. Budha in original form is an atheist religion.

You state that if all religions are proved, equality comes. Let us work for equality of opportunities, justice and fairness irrespective of belief in existence of God.

Personally, I do not believe in God. But I believe that all right thinking people can work for just and equitable society. It does not matter which religion they believe in and whether they believe in God or not.
I think we need to take lot of birth to know the actual truth. This is question mark for scientist always that God is exist or not.
Santosh- Sajeetharan has linked the matter of God with social equality.

I think, we may work for a just and equitable society. It does not matter whether God exists or not. This is an academic question and our life is not affected thereby.
Instead of believing in God...

believe in yourself.. and be good to all

u can even ask God...

He will say the same thing...!!!
I think God exists and he is one and only one.Science cannot prove there is no God.
I think science with its so called godly powers can never become God!!
I believe that there is some super natural power above us. May be some of the epics might be true. But i don't believe much in the forms of Gods and Goddesses. Lot of imagination has been added in this.
@mean

yes absolutely. but what about histories and those ramayana and mahabharatha?. have you all watched ohm namashivaya,jai hanuman . i watched them when i was at the age of 10. but i wonder whether those are true
I think the characters you have named are all mythological and our epics have fascinated the people all over the world because of the richness of their contents,social relevance and profundity of thoughts achieved so many thousand years ago.
Here the question is IF someday Science can prove that God does not exist, then you will be able to believe. The function of Science is to probe into mystery of material world. The believers say that God is not matter- solid, gas or liquid-. consequently, He is beyond the scope of Science.

Secondly, Sajeetharan says that there will be equality in society as religions will be proved wrong. I may add that equality in society has nothing to do with God and religion. social organization is formed by humans and so they alone may bring about social justice, equality of opportunities etc. There can not be total equality or uniformity. Human society is like a machine that works only with various components- big and small- working in harmony. a regards thoughts, uniformity in opinion is neither desirable nor necessary. we all think in our own unique way and share our experiences. Diversity is salt of life. If we all had same opinion, there would be nothing for us to discuss.
@Gulshan

Agreed! A discussion truly comes alive when it takes on a diverse range of opinions.
And this discussion comes from a view that there are believers and non believers.
It takes all kinds of people to make this beautiful world!
My simple question runing parallel

If God did exist - Who created him ?? Mind boggling is it not ?
Sajeetharan,
My simple answer is if you have to find a creator behind all it is impossible.Human thought is very narrow and we cannot imagine beyond it.
God is everexisting..There is no begining and end of God..
We can not perceive God through our imperfect senses..
Sajeetharan- even according to those who believe in God, there are different versions. According to Christianity, God made the world in six days and took rest on seventh day i.e. Sunday, which is observed even now as holiday. The classic Hindu belief is that there is a group of gods managing the world. Brahma, the Creator, Vishnu, the protector and shiva, the destroyer. There are other distinct theories Adwaitvad of Adi shankaracharya, dwaitvad and Tretvad.

All these theories of God do not affect our lives. We should work for justice and rational behavior. The religious matters and God are personal matters and should not come in way of betterment of society.
Some lives are totally affected,some lives are partially affected and some are not affected at all.But the truth is religion would be there even it is for our argument and debate!!!
Sajeetharan- Your question is valid. who created God. Personally, I do not believe in God and so according to me neither there is God nor anyone created him.
The believers say that God always existed. There is something that everyone believes always existed. We witness nature. Let us agree that nature always existed.
We need to understand what is God. No one created to God because God created to all. God is not one person he is all in world and universe.
