There is nothing peculiar in the photograph except that the lady bicycle rider is carrying a child in vehicle carrier. The small children need to be carried along. The hill women carry their babes in a bag type dress on their back. They also keep moving to comfort the child. The women workers in tea gardens also carry their babes on the back as their hands are busy. Here the bicycle carrier has substituted the girl's back.

A good presence of mind by the woman.. Baby enjoying her ride,drinking milk and girl free to cycle on her own..

Definitely it is good presence of mind. That's why it is told "Necessity is the mother of Invention" :)

Mother has to do everything for her child, and this is the best way how she could help her child to carry him with her.
May be there is no one else to take care of the child and thats why she has to take him along with her. This is the symbol of extreme care a mother can provide to her child.
A grand salute to all Mothers!!

I think that position baby feel more comfortable . baby can not adjusted anywhere else at bicycle.
