I am back again with another exiting season of Group Discussions.
Here we go with this round of Group Discussion with the topic:
"Does woman make good managers?"

One thing though, women don't become, they ARE good managers! for confirmation, think about your Mum, imagine how much tact, ingenuity and skills she has to manage everything daily. Even though a woman may just be an ordinary housewife, she is still a good manager. Just think of handing over the reins of a household to the father for just a day or two and see the amount of chaos that prevails.

kjalyani- I see that women are more strict and hence better conform to rules. I remember that once a lady clerk made me run in scorching heat to get a signature verified because the name on the cheque was abbreviated. Again, I was in trouble because my name was in short and not in full. They are more meticulous. I really fear lady employees. i have always feared lady bosses and worked more obediently under them. Thus. it is obvious they are better managers.

Second thing I just giving suggestion that if girl live with parent after marriage than there comparison with boys will remove automatically.
I know its not possible but if its possible then Girl value will be same as boy.

Santosh- As the joint family tradition is weakened, the girls after marriage live with husband and not with parents in law. We cannot break traditional social values suddenly. The women assume surname of their husbands and that is all. This should not make any difference if the girls possess the qualities of management and are self reliant.
I agree that it is not possible to break the tradition of male supremacy suddenly. Normally, any male does not want his wife in a superior position. This was reflected in Hindi film 'abhimaan'. However, I have seen that in many government departments, women got promoted to posts superior to their husbands'. The husbands have reconciled. At Agra, the mayor is wife of a petty government officer. The wife has supremacy in the town. The husband has reconciled to this.
As women are participating in management, it is only a matter of time that women will prove their worth and not face jealousy from males- even their husbands.

@Gulshan, as I mentioned earlier women are more sincere and honest about their jobs and they are programmed to be strict about rules and regulations.
One more quality about women is their cunning; it is a known fact that where everything fails, her tears do the trick :)
But I am not saying that works for all women; now the women have just become more tough and will make men cry for mercy!! :cheer:

Here all of you had the thought that woman can be good managers.I also agree with it.BUt I have some different thoughts.
1) When a man and woman of equal capacities are competing for same managerial post even a lady manager will prefer to select a male candidate.Why?
2) Gender equality is a long long issue raised by women.At the same time they do not oppose reservation to ladies.So it is putting legs in two boats.
Since women had more soft corners,more jealousy and highly talkative they can become a good manager also.(Don't attack me massively because I am going offline for two days!!!)

The preference for males is an age old bias in favor of males and even ladies are not free from this. Secondly, women have not been given reservation in government services like I.A.S. However, women are traditionally employed in posts like nurses, teachers and receptionists. Even in U.S.A., they are not considered for managerial posts. This is question of attitude which has historical background.
Now the trend is changing in favor of women. Now, there are more women managers. They are proving their worth. The MNCs and large industrial units have many women managers.

I agree with Santosh Kumar Singh
that the position needs skills and is not anyway related to Gender. Both men and women can have qualities of Good Manager if they have managing capability. If we take some fields like Police army or defence services there also women compete with men equally. Here it doesnt mean that men are good fighters and women are not. For such service they are elected based on their capacity and quality.
So finally it is not the gender which decides who is good manager. :)
