Is Abortion right decision if unmarried girl pregnant?

Basically Abortion is a wrong procedure. In case of unmarried girl, identify the caused person and get marry them willingly or forcibly. Or otherwise allow her to Abortion and must be punished him.

First of all unmarried girls beware of such illegal activities and in any cost not allow such activities.

I think 100 of cases daily comes in newspaper for this type of matter so is only abortion is right decision if boy not ready to marry.

First thing is that unmarried girls should not get pregnant before their marriage.If they become pregnant unfortunately, they should try to marry the same person.Otherwise there is no option for them except to terminate the child as they will face lot of problems if the child is delivered.

Always prevention is better than cure.So unmarried should be careful and avoid this problem.

I think you are right Meen but killing baby is crime so is crime acceptable.

The unmarried girls should either not indulge in premarital sex or they must adopt preventive measures so as to avoid pregnance. That is what South Indian star Khushboo had in mind when she suggested safe sex.
Although premarital sex and pregnancy is not socially acceptable and this is taboo, it is not illegal. Like Neena Gupta, TV star, unmarried girls should not abort their child but give birth and face the society. On mothers' day, we should resolve not to diosgrace motherhood by abortion.

Today there is so much promotion for preventive measures. Why can't those guys use those safety measures!!!! That's why India is still behind many countries in all aspects.

I don't have any idea on abortion. So those guys who are participating premarital sex, please use safety measures

I think precaution is actual solution for this matter nothing else.

The pregnancy of unmarried girl comes as a result of social evil either by her own or by some man.If it is by her it should be delivered and she should face its shame.If it is by force she should deliver and society has to take the decission on the convicted.In either case abortion is not good as human have no right to kill another human.

I think only abortion is not good option I think one option may be there deliver child and donate to any family who required child.

I agree with Abid. Abortion is unethical and unlawful. The fact should be faced with convicction of truth and courage. There is no pint in kuilling a baby even before birth for fault of parents.

I think crime is crime. Murder is murder so best option should be selected.

Being a catholic I wont agree with abortion at all. If this pregnancy happened accidentally, then every lover must learn self control or if not possible should learn some safety measures to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Since we are not able to give life to some thing then we must not take it in the womb itself. I feet that abortion is a murder in the most barbarian way. In some countries it is made legal and some doctors are specialized in killing the fetus.

@Shalu, Gulshan, Abid, santosh what you are all saying applies in case of girls willingly indulging in premarital sex and then getting pregnant. But what about girls who get raped or the commercial sex workers (CSWs)? You don't expect the girl to marry her own rapist, do you?

Many of the girls getting raped are most times in their teens!! Do you think she is handled to give birth and take care of her baby? I think abortion in India should be made legal but the it should be done with meticulous planning such that theur are no loopholes for the law getting misused!

in the case of commercial sex workers they have there own methods to prevent accidental pregnancy. But in the case of rape actually I dont have a specific answer. That depends on the family conditions and financial conditions to raise the baby. Some times law can be lenient towards the affected.

Of all views I find Kalyani's views to be most pragmatic and rational.In a society like us where human dignity is compromised every second and minute,abortion in certain cases as rightly pointed out by Kalyani is inescapable.Thanks Kalyani for your insightful take on this subject.

Shalu, I do see your point in case of CSWs, but there also remains the fact that the way they work are controlled by their pimps and their clients. There are efforts being made by several NGOs on this very issue and many CSWs have started using condoms to prevent unnecessary consequences. But also on down side, majority of the clientele DO NOT let these women use condoms. the argument will be that there are other methods as well, but they do not protect them from contracting AIDS and they are bound to get pregnant one way or the other somewhere down the course of things!

Reading all the views here has been really a treat for the emotions and brains for putting some thought.

I would not like to put any view of my own as I agree with most presented here. But would surely come back here with some got thought whenever it occurs to me.

Actually by advising condums and other methods for safe sex all are encouraging the evil deeds in our society.

@Abid, could you please elaborate how they are evil when they are meant to protect women and even men from harmful diseases and unwanted pregnancies?
