caste information in census

I don't understand what is the harm in this.It is a high issue nowadays.

Since independence, there has been no caste based census in India. This is the first time that this is being done. Initially, Govt. was not conducting caste based census. This is under pressure of some regional caste based parties.

However, there is nothing wrong. The policies of govt. are caste based and this is fact of life. So, this is okay.

Why the government do any thing based on caste. Can't they avoid based on caste ??

When it is not possible to avoid the caste based reservation, there is nothing wrong to take a caste based census.

Rakesh- I think caste base can be avoided. We should work for caste less society. However, the castes and communities are basis of vote bank politics. 'Divide and rule' is the doctrine of perpetuation of caste.
