Entire the Wold in India beggars are in bulk quantity, it's very painful thing. All over the country spread the begging as an Industry. Mumbai is the capital of beggars.

" Indian Govt.must take initiation to rehabilitation the beggars with providing any of work and should be controlled the begging".
I think Indian Beggars should pay tax if his monthly income is more than 20000. Same rule should be for all earner.
These beggars are cool!!! but not all beggars are so lucky.

@Jayen, I think offering money to beggars will depend on personal choices. Some people give money in the form of Daans and such people will give money to anyone. I personally, give money only if the beggars are quite old and sick. If they are quite able-bodied and healthy I do not gove them any money
Is this information true??????

Yes... we should think twice while offering beggars money.
This time begging is being profession so I hate beggars.I do not give money to beggars.
I remember watching some movies similar to the topic....

Films like Pokiri have the same rich beggars in it!!!!
In Slumdog Milleniar movie shows how they made beggars. They cut leg, use hot oil to make person blind to beg the money. So lot of crime exist with this so I hate beggars.
Well Kalyani,

you are right in saying this that not all beggars are so lucky and smart. But instead of offering money we can offer in kind such as food or clothes or education to poor children.
They drink English Whisky after getting money. So please avoid to giving money to them.
In slumdog, they create beggars... but those poor children remain handicapped and are not turned to be rich!!!!

This is fully different... seeing the list of each beggar what he owns, its very shocking!!!!
Guessing right or wrong person is very difficult. So I apply same rules for all beggars.
Begging is a social malaise and has its roots in deeper economic deprivation but there are people who are smart enough to make a tidy earning out of it but that hardly changes their status as beggars - their self-respect completely gone!!
One of our friends have written an article ... Have a look!!!

Nice article written. I will give 9 star out of 10 for this article. Thanks for sharing it.
Let us not judge the issue so superficially. If some beggars drink whisky we just cannot wish away a problem as big as begging.Let us ask ourselves:Why do the people take to begging?
We should encourage work and not begging in an form. Personally, I do not spend any money on beggars, sadhus, temples and so on. I encourage work and guide all to work and acquire skill. I do not mind paying a little more to those who work for me. Giving a little more to painter, auto driver or electrician is okay.
@Gulshan

I do see your point but what I am trying to stress here is the root of this social phenomenon. As you would agree that a person takes to begging when there is complete loss of self-respect.If our system could not produce self-respect in the character of the Chairman of the Medical Council of India whose sordid love for money could lead him into doing things that a beggar would be shamed.I know of an incident which had taken place in North Kolkata that a street beggar when chanced upon a purse he rushed to the nearest police station to the great astonishment of the police officer on duty. We have to take a holistic view to root out this problem.
Chinmoy- We mus take holistic view from social and political angel. The old age and infirm need social security. Better employment conditions are required.
Individually. we should encourage workers and not beggars, priests, sadhus who all thrive on others' work. Although corruption is very bad, the corrupt like chairman Indian medical council are engaged in useful work for society but play foul. They cannot be compared exactly to beggars. We need to fight corruption, malpractices at work and also encourage work and discourage begging and similar activities.
Thanks Deepti for sharing the article its really touching.
Thanks Jayen...

I also heard and have seen in movies that small infants are used as a tool by beggars..... They make the child cry and want to gain some pity from the people and beg for money....
