Hi Friends,

The Met office has just announced that this year we are gping to have normal rainfall- 90% of the long-term average. It should cheer us up.Last year we had a nightmarish time and paucity of rains almost derailed our economy.Let us hope things would be much better this year.

I think its good news for all. Farmers will get more benefit for his crops.
It is really a good news.

Within last one week, It rained heavily twice in Coimbtore, second largest city of Tamilnadu.

We got here two monsoons. One from the south-west in the months from June to August and other is retreating north-east monsoon from October to November.

It is situated on the foot of Nilgiris hills.
If you remember the scanty rainfall last year played havoc with our economy and the abnormal price rise in farm products is one of the reasons behind it and rural India is the backbone of our economy any major disruption in the monsoonal activities hits very hard and its all pervasive effects are for all to see.
:) :) :) :)

Great to hear this .This is hour of need...
Oh god.... not able to bear this hot summer. Hope good news is making me to feel COOL....

Thanks for the news!!!!!
Kerala has received its rains on time. so Met department's forecast is falling true.
It is really good to know such thing.hope the rains bring more good news..
Going by the current behaviour of the monsoon so far,we can expect normal rainfall this year.
I hope this year their prediction would be true. They are well-equipped with technology.
Remember how bad was the last year in this regard.Paucity of rains played havoc in our country.
The behaviour of the monsoon has been rather erratic in this part of the country. In the Gangetic West Bengal its progress has not been very satisfactory.
Maharashtra and Gujarat states are happy with the early monsoons and hope this will give boost to share markets and lower inflation also.
The prediction is always normal!!!We get them also, but not in a regular way as expected.
