Most of the public servants make it a point to lose what we can call service-mindedness on joining public service. Our experiences are far from happy when we happen to visit them for any purpose. They are unnecessarily rude and undignified which compels me to designate them as 'public masters'.Share your experiences with any public master!

Really government employees are public servants. But people had made them masters through unlawful methods.
I think you are right in a way.Going by the definition of 'public servants' government employees are, indeed, public servants but how many are conscious of their being so that is debatable.I am leaving out the corruption aspect in this discussion.Barring a few exceptions, most of them are short on courtsey which is the irreducible minimum that we can expect.
The public servants still follow the traditions of British Raj when even a Patwari (now lekhpal) was considered as master by villagers. Now the politicians, bureaucrats and even petty party workers are behaving as bosses. The public are also to blame to some extent for this state of affairs.
The faceless mass whom we call 'public' is composed of diverse elements and in a country like where mass illiteracy is prevalent, the people can not pick up sufficient courage to teach these public servants a lesson or two!
Now by the introduction of RTI Act public servants had became more humble.Still some more is required.
