Death of shame- Marathi scholar

Dr. Sriniwas Ram Chandra Siras was a noted Marathi scholar. A reader in Aligarh University found his dead body in his room. Obviously, the Marathi scholar could not bear the shame of his homo sexual relations revealed to outside world.

Undoubtedly, he was a genius. His homo sexual relations are certainly socially unacceptable. But this is a fact that individual relations between any two consenting adults are their personal matter and subject to right of privacy. It has also been legally held that same sex relation between consenting adults in privacy is their private matter. Thus exposing such relations is an encroachment on privacy and a crime.

In these circumstances, the individuals who encroached upon his privacy and made his video film in his nude position with a view to publicly shame him are real culprits. They must be brought to book and punished according to law.
