Threads with chanting god's name...?

Is this the right place to chant our prayers to our lord...

Isn't it a purely religious subject, specifically prayers, that could could have been avoided and the feelings of the users following other religion / faiths be taken care of...

People of other religion will never respond to such chants...

What do you feel about it...?

There is no right and wrong place for the chanting the holy name of the Lord. It can be chanted any where at anytime in any condition. :cheer:

Harish ji, Please check the chanting posts. You will get your answer. :)
Yes Kumaresh, you are right that... :) "There is no right and wrong place for the chanting the holy name of the Lord. It can be chanted any where at anytime in any condition."
Kumaresh,
You have a unique style of your responses...
point by point...
no ambiguity...
Chanting god's name is a personal matter. Mere chanting does not add to our knowledge or information and apparently serves no purpose. However, if some religious discussion follows the hymns or shlokas or whatever, this may be okay. As regards other religions, let us be reminded of Theosophical society of India, founded by Annie Beasant. The religious discourses may be beyond narrow sectarian boundaries.

Do everything we do in life only for the sake of knowledge/information??
I personally carry-on a belief that the relation between me and my lord is exclusively personal between we two... that is one to one with Him...

I even feel interrupted when some purohit performs a pooja that I dedicate to my lord in a traditional pattern.
Kumaresh- We do several things. all are not for knowledge. But only writing a few words almost mechanically is no different than copy and paste. If you write a mantra or any sacred words in addition to writing on any topic, this may be okay. But in my view writing anything as ritual by itself is not understandable. I appreciate your contribution but i hope we need not agree on every thing. Diversity is the salt of life.
Anyways, beliefs differ from person to person.

There are many other people who believe in chanting bhajans and aaratis in groups and even crowds in thousands do it collectively. We just can't form any rule...
Just going offtrack... I have a different thinking about having so many religions in the world that unify the people of the same faith and create rift with the believers of other faiths...

Harish,
You are right.I hadn't entered any reply on these chants as my religious belief does not allow me it.
Why copy and paste replies are more often in the forums???

I don't agree to this... This is not fare!!!!!
well,

chanting GOD name is good.well, Moderator can remove points for it. :)
Bhanu- Nothing is good or bad by itself. It is the appropriate place and time that decides what is wrong. For example, worship in a temple is okay but not in an entertainment club where rock music and dance will be appropriate.
